π The Crossword Answers

- 2-across = The best way to earn rewards on the platform? β‘οΈ POST
- 3-across = How to mark posts so people can find them? β‘οΈ TAGS
- 4-across = What provides network services to the blockchain? β‘οΈ NODE
- 5-across = What is a unit of measurement for SteemPower? β‘οΈ VEST
- 6-down = Who keeps the blockchain up-and-running? β‘οΈ WITNESS

- 8-down = What was the first chain to fork off of Steem? β‘οΈ GOLOS

π The Unscramble
The critical answers which were required in order to get the letters to unscramble were: block, tags, vest, and witness. The unscrambled letters were to make the name of a Steem user. An additional hint was that the name also corresponds to the name of a place on the earth, so the answer is: @wales
π The Butler
In the story Where old beat-up suitcases go to die, Rumi (the butler) spoke to several things: a hollow tree, a suitcase, a no-longer-there dog, himself... Β β any of those would have been an acceptable prompt for a stick-drawing, a poem, a freewrite, or a photograph. One entry was also stamped with the phrase: "the doom of it all."
By the way, I count Where old beat-up suitcases go to die as a rather phenomenal piece of writing. It is full of amazing imagery and descriptions as well as a rather quirky and charming story line. I was thrilled to find such a great piece of writing to use in my contest!
@wales : You didn't know what was going on until @gmatthe2 posted her comment on the story, but THANK YOU for such an entertaining thing to read! And hopefully, utilizing your story in my contest has brought a couple new fans of your writing!
