What one thing...?

Dreams are so strange sometimes.

I dreamed that my father was still alive and he and I were riding some kind of go-cart together. I was driving. This whole part of the dream was strange, as we never had a go-cart and they are certainly not constructed for two passengers, unless they are larger, more like a dune buggy. Riding a go-cart was something my father would have tried in his younger days, but certainly not later in life.

The go-cart steered perfectly to the right with no problems. However, if steered around a sharp left-hand turn, the accelerator stopped working for a few seconds after the turn was navigated, then resumed working shortly thereafter. To combat this, I had to steer slightly to the right and only then turn left and everything worked perfectly. As I was doing this, my father kept forgetting about this oddity and fussed at every left turn that I was going the wrong way by veering to the right at the beginning of the turn, and I had to keep reminding him that it was the only way for it to work.

We finally decided to stop riding behind the house and drove around to the front, but it was a house I've never seen before. As we turned to go up the very steep driveway, I noticed one of my sister-in-law's cats (the black one) running after us, following us up the hill.

When we reached the top, I parked the go-cart and got out. My father was suddenly gone and another relative was there, supposedly one of my uncles or cousins. We were planning to get together with other family members later and his wife, Betty, was going to bring an oracle of cards from Australia that would allow us to communicate with deceased relatives. He said that it would allow each of us to ask something of those gone beyond and wanted to know what one thing I would want my parents to answer. What one thing...

It was then that I awoke. 😐
