Twitch your tail for #caturday

The older cat that has been staying in my household since the beginning of the year does something really cute. When he's lying down or sitting — and sometimes when he is fast asleep! — the tip of his tail will twitch, back-and-forth. It is not the whole tail, but just the tip, twitching back and forth in a slow, rhythmic manner!

I have no clue whether this is a conscious motion on his part, or whether it is an unconscious act akin to the way some people bounce a foot up-and-down when their legs are crossed or moan happily during a massage.
