Steemit Bloggers Treaure Hunt - Results

Here are the answers to, and the results of, the #steemitbloggers "Treasure Hunt" contest! This was a difficult contest to judge, as all of the entries submitted were awesome!

Step 1. The Crossword

Everyone had to first solve a crossword puzzle about the theme: winter. Since the #steemitbloggers community spans the globe and has members in many different climates (including the tropics!), it was difficult to pick words & clues that I thought everyone could solve. Here are the answers:


Step 2. The Unscramble

Taking the letters from the green-outlined boxes, unscramble them to get the name of a #steemitbloggers member. Unscrambling "HKMOHGI" reveals: @khimgoh

Step 3. The Prompts

Scrolling down through @khimgoh's Steemit blog to find the post about her first video, we find Dtube Snap #1: My First Dtube Video - My Office and any of the things which were mentioned in the post were fair game as a prompt for a post containing a photo, stick-drawing, poem, or freewrite.

Step 4. The Entrants

Since there are somewhere between 100 and 150 current members of the #steemitbloggers community, I was a little surprised that there were so few entries, but real-life gets in the way sometimes. I am very pleased that we had those eight entries, though, and every one of them was good, too! 😊

⭐️ The Winners! 🥁

I have decided to kick an additional 8 STEEM into the prize pool from my own wallet so everyone who participated will receive something because everyone completed the contest successfully and you're all awesome!

I chose the above three entries because they answered the contest challenge while also offering an inspirational message of encouragement. Two of them even included the slogan: "Remember, don't be busy, but be productive!"  from @khimgoh's post, which I thought was a great motivational phrase! We need more positivity on the platform and in our everyday lives, so "BRAVO!" for your encouraging messages!

🔸 I really enjoyed the clever pun "Chercheeze la Game" in Fromage's entry, and he then proceeded to turn his whole post into a game! Creative, indeed! LOL!

🔸 I liked how KAERpediem's entry stated: "While some are moping, getting mad, pointing fingers or just plain laying low, the Steemitbloggers are playing games!" What a great testament to the resiliency our group!

🔸 The story of the "window" in Tryskele's entry was very entertaining and so typical of the struggle with upper-management sometimes! Arrrrgh! Right...?!?!? I love how the "window" was created!

🔸 I was kept on the edge-of-my-seat with Mattifer's entry with a fascinating story of climbing a mountain and going into a cave. I was wondering if she had missed the point of the contest when she cinched her entry in the last suspenseful sentence, catching me off-guard! Very sneaky! Ha ha! And a spendid adventure!

🔸 It was clever how TraciYork's entry featured a couple of photos of winter scenes, carrying the theme of the crossword puzzle into her view from her office! Chilly-looking, but beautimous!

I declare @fromage, @kaerpediem, @mattifer, @traciyork, and @tryskele to all be fantastic Honorable Mentions, getting 1 STEEM, each, because their entries were fabulous, too! Great job! 🤗
