"Peace Comes from Within" COPPER round

I have never tired of seeing silver in my collectionΒ β€” silver bullion, Constitutional silver, or the sterling silver that has been in my jewelry collection for many years. However, just for a slight change-of-pace and because I saw it at a good price, I decided to add some 1-ounce COPPER rounds to my collection, too. Copper is not considered a "precious metal," per se, but is important in industry and seems to retain its value rather well over time. Copper was the first widely-used metal by humans, and was the first metal to be smelted and cast into the shape of a mold. [2]

As with much of my collection, I opted for feminine imagery. This piece features a young woman with hands over heart and rays of "peace" radiating outwards, as the motto states: "PEACE COMES FROM WITHIN." The artwork is lovely, and this copper bullion is same size as my .999 silver rounds.

The quality of the piece is evident to 'stackers' (collectors of precious metals) when one looks at the reverse side and sees the familiar logo of Silver Shield, who makes some of the most awesome silver bullion rounds! Beneath the Silver Shield logo one finds: "1 AVDP OUNCE .999 PURE CU" (where CU is the chemical symbol for the metal copper, from the Latin cuprum). Since copper is not a precious metal, the avoirdupois system of measurement is used rather than the Troy system. The year of mintage is shown: 2019.

These copper rounds have been polished to be as shiny as silver, and show the characteristic cartwheels of a newly-minted item. Have you diversified your 'stack' to include a few pieces of copper?
