Awhile back, origami artist @ivan-g offered to give away pairs of coasters for those who wanted them. They are constructed via origami tesselations and are quite lovely!
I was pleasantly surprised to note that the coasters were sent in a piece of paper which had been folded into the shape of an envelope! How clever! 😁
There was also a note enclosed, executed with some very cool hand-written calligraphy!
The geometry is fascinating!
One can't go wrong with two colors! Of course, these are too pretty to actually use as coasters, but would make lovely decorations in many places!
There was also a very cool Croatian stamp on the envelope. "Hrvatska" is the name of the country in the Croatian language (actually: Republika Hrvatska), and Veliki Tabor is a castle that was built in the middle of the 15th century, and currently houses a museum.
Thank you, @ivan-g, for sharing your artwork in this way, through a gift!
a big hug is due to @enginewitty for designing the following personal banner for me 🤗
