OLD BARN № 091

This barn is located on a farm where goats are raised. Several goats can be seen in the photo, including one large male goat (called a "billy") that's looking back my way, despite my not being very close to the barn. I think it's cool when animals look my way when I take a photo, like they're posing for me.

This barn is in two sections, as if it were expanded at some point in time as the farm grew. It provides a place for the goats to rest after a long day of munching grass in the field and playing as goats are prone to doing. A red livestock trailer can be seen parked partly behind the barn on the right side.

A smallish unnamed creek flows through the property, apparently originating from an underground spring. In the above photo, the green grass on which the big goat is standing ends lower in the photo where the strip of dirt can be seen — that is the gully where the creek runs. The creek can be seen meandering across the property in the aerial view, below, before joining Cove Creek.

The original photo is below but it's not a great shot. The photo was taken several years ago when cellphone cameras weren't as good as they are today, and the shot was taken a good distance from the barn. It was the best I could do at the time, though. Perhaps one day, I will revisit some of these barns and photograph them again with my now-better cellphone camera.

I have other barns with goats, too, including one where they are actually on top of a low, one-story barn! 😁 It's quite a sight, so stay tuned!
