OLD BARN № 084

This barn is still standing proudly, although in a state of disrepair. I think the owner must simply use it for general storage more than anything else. The barn is located on a property that was probably once a farm, but appears to be generating money from a different sort of business now. I'm not sure what that business is, though, as there appears to be a couple of residences and several other buildings mostly behind hedgerows of trees and privacy fences.

The following aerial view shows the barn's location in relation to the last barn I posted as well as others from the past as well as a couple more soon to be seen. This entire area is full of plenty of lovely woods and fields!

When I went to pinmapple.com to get the special code for adding this barn to the map, I saw the coolest thing. The below screenshot is what the 'satellite view' looks like on Pinmapple, more like what it would look like from a helicopter! The barn is clearly the same one as in the above photo! This is the coolest view! 😃

A rather large field of debris can be seen to the right of the barn in the above screenshot from pinmapple.com. I'm not sure if that was where a shed once stood which was demolished, or whether it's something else. Perhaps the owners build things for sale on the property, and what appears to be debris is merely raw materials to be assembled into something for sale.

The following is the "true original" shot for this barn. There is some sort of a shed at the right-side of the image which was impossible to avoid unless one took a few steps onto the private property. The sides of the shed are reddish-color, but the roof is sheet metal and can be seen reflecting pale bluish light in the above view from the Pinmapple site, immediately behind the hedgerow of trees planted alongside the road.

Using my trusty PaintShopPro™ software, I edited the original to remove the obstructing shed from the view. Of course, I had to imagine what broken pieces of boards might be leaning against the barn as well as slightly taller grass next to the building. It's not perfect, but I think it's okay. 😜

So, there we have the eighty-fourth barn in my collection. Even with its rather simple-looking construction, I imagine it could still be hiding a secret or two!

 😊
