This little 'barn' is about the size of a dog house — to be honest, that is what I thought it was, initially. But '296' is painted on the front above the door, and it remained a mystery to me for quite some time as there were no houses nearby, just this cute little replica of a barn sitting beside the road. Finally, trees behind this charming little structure were cut down and a house was built on the property. So, '296' was apparently the designated address along the road!

Whoever built this did a great job and it even has its own nicely-made sheet metal roof! They used beautiful, weathered wood, perhaps remnants of a large barn they once had. In fact, I wonder if this is a miniature copy of an ancestral barn where they once lived.
When I took this photo, I never considered cataloging this little structure with my Old Barn Project, but only counted it a cute 'oddity' that I found. However, I accidentally cataloged another barn twice — I saw it once from the back-side and marked it as Old Barn 065, then came past it a different way on another day and notated the front of the barn as number 075, only realizng later that it was the same structure. So, I had to fill this void with something, and I thought this delightful little replica fit the bill!
