OLD BARN № 060

This beautiful barn with a gambrel roof is such a lovely sight. The shape of the roof is so classic and pretty, and the lean-to awning over the left side adds much character to the structure. I haven't gotten close-enough to the barn to see if it is truly made of redwood or if it is just stained a redwood color, but I think it is beautiful.

There is a large field adjacent to the barn, so I feel sure it was part of a working farm at one time. A current aerial photo shows extensive fencing through the field, but I have never seen sign of horses or cows. There is a hay door up high in the center, so it likely stored hay at some point and probably held stables down below for horses or cows back in the farm's heyday.

This lovely barn is such an awesome addition to my Old Barn Project!
