OLD BARN № 056

This wonderful barn is perched on a hill behind a house, and from this view it dominates the skyline in an amazing way! Sadly, there are a few places that need to be patched, but the barn in is good condition otherwise. I am curious about the two poles sticking up — I am not sure if they are antennas or lightning arrestors. Since the barn is located on top of a small hill, I would think either possibility could be the case. Of course, it might be one of each!

The above photo was taken several years ago. I revisited this barn again recently and discovered that the places that needed patching have not yet been touched and more deterioration is evident. The two poles are gone from the top of the barn, and another barn has been erected to the right, behind the beautiful old barn.

Years ago before the first photo was taken, the property was a bit overgrown with weeds and many more trees behind the barn. This is what it looked like from the other side on the day I first found the place:

Look at those beautiful fields and woods nearby! Such a lush, green landscape!
