This is such a unique barn, as it is rare to see one with brick on the lower level and wood framing above! The drive-bay goes all the way through, with a huge area for hay-storage and such above. With gates at both ends of the drive-bay, the lower-level might have stables for keeping livestock protected at night.

It is also unusual to see such large windows for ventilation in barns, but this would allow the upper-area to be cooler in summer and could easily be covered in winter with plywood or shutters to keep out the cold winds.

As the aerial photo shows, there is a quite large and lovely pasture adjacent to the barn, which is hidden by the trees in the photo. It looks like a fun place to explore!
