MR4: Monster Raffle 4 💰

Periodically, the SteemSilverGold community holds a raffle to raise funds and to spread the love of collecting "precious metals" to the blockchain. But, this isn't just any ordinary raffle — it is a Monster of a Raffle, with bunches of prizes!

I was drawn into the world of "stacking" precious metals when I won prize №34 in Monster Raffle 2, which was a lovely hand-poured silver bar designed by @silversaver888 which can be seen here: https://steempeak.com/steemsilvergold/@thekittygirl/silver-saver-bar. Prior to the winning of that raffle, I saved the occasional old silver coin if I found one, but that was about it.

A few months later, Monster Raffle 3 was held, but I had not been stacking long-enough to have anything to donate, as I had only accumulated very little since then and was unwilling to part with one of the few pieces I had. That has changed, though, and I am very happy to be able to contribute a donation to Monster Raffle 4!


This is One Troy Ounce of 99.9% Fine Silver, minted from the US strategic silver stockpile in 1981. The "CC" stamped on the obverse (front) of this round is the logo of the Continental Coin & Jewelry Company, presumably the company which minted the piece.


The reverse (back) of the round features an eagle in flight with the flag of the US in the background. Across the top is "ONE TROY OUNCE, 31.1 GRAMS" and ".999 FINE SILVER, SILVER TRADE UNIT" is stamped at the bottom. Two olive branches flank the eagle.


So, I hereby place this silver round in the "donations pile" for Monster Raffle 4! In order to win it, tickets to the raffle must be purchased, and you have to be comfortable giving me your mailing address via DM on Discord so I can send it to the winner.
