Missed it by 61 votes

The very first community I joined on the Steem–Discord continuum was Steemit Bloggers (founded in October 2017 by @jaynie), which is now rebranded to PowerHouseCreatives. In fact, it was because of @steemitbloggers that I downloaded the Discord app in the first place!

We were one of ten communities /projects that were in competition for a 10K SP delegation for one year from @theycallmedan. We lost that race by only 61 votes — such a close margin of 772 votes to 712 votes.

Congratulations to the winner, @votovzla, a project that was founded in September 2017 to support Venezuelan talent. Considering the crisis in Venezuela, I can't be too sad about our losing to them because I know they will uplift many deserving people who are struggling in that country because of the current economic hardships there. 💙

The other projects in the running included: @team-cn w/585 votes, @qurator w/96, @crowdmind w/79, @actifit w/77, @spunkeemonkee w/64, @steemnurse w/61, @dsound w/47, @freewritehouse w/40. It was a good run, and I wish much success to each of you!

A very special "THANK YOU!"  to @qurator and @freewritehouse, who attempted to re-direct all of their votes to @steemitbloggers when they realized they were not in the top three projects near the end of the compeition. Your kindness in doing that, giving us a boost, was greatly appreciated and definitely elevated your communites' reputations!
