Every year, a local hospital has a "Festival of Trees" event where local agencies and businesses can decorate a tree for a contest. The trees are then auctioned off for charity. Each tree must have a theme, decided by the entrant.
One of my favorite entries was the one called the "Peacock Tree" because the theme consisted of ornaments and items that were the colors of a peacock, with lots of blues and greens.
Another section of the magnificent Peacock Tree:
My late-father's cardiologist always has a tree trimmed with heart-shaped decorations!
The red ones almost look like candy!
At the local VA Medical Center, they have decorations made by the veterans. I think this little penguin, made from a teeny, plastic ice-cream spoon, is adorable!
Now, switching back to local businesses...
The leaping deer on this tree is lovely:
And I love this delightful little tree, which the oldest café puts in their window every year. It's always dark inside at night so the white tree really stands-out, even though it is small.
More window displays, with snowmen, snowmen, and gifts galore...
...and more snowmen with a skunky little friend!
And lastly, the way most houses decorated every year, when I was a child; this place still does it right:
I hope these photos bring you as much cheer as they did me when I took them! 😊
