I was thinking recently how it has been two months since Hurricane Irma came through the US, and I'm glad that hurricane season is coming to an end! For those living in other parts of the world, a "hurricane" is what we call a storm that you might call a "cyclone" or a "typhoon."
The following animation, which I made from screen-captures from windy.com shows where Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida. As it moved up into Georgia, then into Tennessee, it brought those purple-colored bands of wind and rain into our area, but I am glad that it moved away from me!
There was one huge limb that fell from a tree into the back yard, but thankfully it did not hit a car or a house. There were small branches and twigs down all over the yard, but they were easy to rake. I'm still waiting for a calm day, with no wind, so that I can light the brush pile and get rid of it all. It seems that every time the wind dies down, rain has wet the pile, so I have to wait for it to dry, and by then the wind has picked up again! LOL
This is another entry in the ColorChallenge which @kalemandra began. It's been such fun participating in it each day since I've been here!
