Brahman Road

Sometimes, without warning, the most surreal of landscapes presents itself to us. This happened to me several years ago when I turned down Brahman Road in search of barns to catalog in my Old Barn Project. I have revisited this location several times since, and am always filled with a sense of wonder at this spot.

The scene is even a little wicked-cool looking in summertime with leaves on all the trees, but it is truly amazing in winter when the deciduous trees are bare. I'm not sure what types of trees all these are, but their shapes during the colder months is amazing. This little spot is one of my favorite scenes in all the county!

Here is my photo, with only a small amount of creative processing done to it:

To the right of those evergreen trees at the right-edge of the photo is an old farm house, in quite a state of disrepair. I've often thought that it would be a lovely spot in which to live, so I could see this sight often. 😁

There are lovely fields and farm lands adjacent to this property on all sides. There are two barns behind the house which I have cataloged in my Old Barn Project, but I will be posting them later (as I am posting my barns in numerical order).

Do you have a favorite scene in your area? If so, consider writing a post about it and show us a photo or a drawing of it!

 😊
