1973 Israel 1 Agora KM# 24.1, KM# 24.3

Many years ago, my parents scrimped and saved money to visit the "Holy Land" as they called it. They really enjoyed their trip and came back with a few mementos, including this coin.

The coin is stamped from aluminum and has lovely scalloped edges. It is very lightweight, at only 1 gram.

The obverse (front) has a lovely depiction of three ears of barley, along with lettering in both Arabic and Hebrew writing that reads "Israel."

The reverse (back) of the coin features a large numeral "1" and the denomination "Agora" underneath. At the bottom of the coin is the year of minting (in Hebraic numerals), which is 5733 in the Jewish calendar and 1973 in the Western calendar.

The value of this coin is quite small, only having a collector-value of USD $0.13 – $0.26 if the coin is in VF or XF condition.
